Our Story

On April 2, 2002, the town of Washington lost two native sons. Brothers Brian and Christopher Swanson were involved in a tragic car accident that claimed both of their lives. Brian was 21 and Chris was just 18. Their parents, Al and Lynda Swanson, chose to focus their grief in a way that would keep the boys' memory alive while making a positive and ongoing impact in the community in which the boys were raised.

Our History

With a core group of family and friends, the idea for an annual charity softball tournament was conceived; a tournament that would bring together families from far and wide for a weekend of games, food, and fun for all ages. The first annual softball tournament was held in 2003 and has continued to serve as the flagship event for the Foundation.

Our Mission

"Our goal is simple; encourage and help parents start an education fund for their children, educate families on the importance of giving back, and reach out to those in need."
